  • Pol Roger White Foil Brut Champagne NV

One of the great classics, this is another firm favourite of ours and consistently very high in quality. It's not just us that love it - at the last three Royal Weddings its Pol that has been popping to help the celebrations, and famously Winston Churchill had a real passion for Pol (a pint a day some say!?). It is no surprise to us though as 'White Foil' - as its fondly known - never fails to satisfy. This cuvée is the definitive house-style and makes for the perfect aperitif. It is made of equal portions of the three Champagne grape varieties Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier, time and attention to detail are the keys here. This is traditionally composed from 30 still 'base wines' and a blend drawn from at least three different vintages, all adding complexity and sophistication to this perennial winner.
    £71.00
  • Bollinger Special Cuvée Brut NV

Possibly our most popular of the Grandes Marques - Bollinger is undoubtedly one of the very best. Extensive ageing and blending of several vintages ensure the house style and high quality never falters. A blend of 60% pinot noir, 25% chardonnay and 15% pinot meunier; the weight and suave feel is gorgeously textural and satisfying. It is no wonder the Cinematic James Bond only ever drinks Bollinger. It is totally charming and dangerously good.
    £75.95
  • LOUIS ROEDERER Collection 245 NV

Lovely golden yellow hue. Steady lively bubbles. Bouquet of yellow fruits (nectarine) and ripe, concentrated citrus (lemon) complemented by sweet notes of petals, pollen, sugared almonds and wheat. We find an impressively ripe, complex and intense fruit which elevates the pure and intense bouquet interwoven with smoky overtones. The palate is velvety, unctuous, rich and juicy. The bubbles have an almost saline character to them and coat the palate with a broad and concentrated texture. The wine reveals an exceptional balance between structure and a crisp, powdery, saline chalky freshness. Smoky and slightly oaky notes linger on a deliciously well-honed finish.
    £79.00

Rosé

  • 2024 Grenache-cinsault Rosé Domaine Saint Félix

Wonderfully pale Rosé from the Languedoc-Roussillon. Made from Cinsault & Grenache (two key grape varieties in Provence), this is a great value alternative to the more aromatic Provencal styles that have taken the UK by storm. Lots of crunchy red fruits & refreshing acidity. Notes of Hawthorn and red fruits that add zip and pep, nicely balanced with great bright energy.
    £13.50

  • 2024 'En La Parra' Blanco Bodegas Nodus

This organic beauty comes from the brilliant team at Bodegas Nodus in Valencia. Organically made at their Finca 'El Renegado' it is a blend of 60% Chardonnay and 40% Moscatel. The result is delicious; a bright, prettily floral hit of soft bright fruit, hints of crisp apple and some more ripe pear notes. 'En la Parra' has two meanings in this part of Spain - it means 'On the Vine' but also more colloquially 'Day-Dreaming' and there is certainly something frivolous and dreamy about this well textured, brilliant value white. A very cheerful glass of wine, good for the planet and your wallet.
    £14.50
  • 2024 Chardonnay Domaine De Valensac

A hugely consistent performer, the Valensac Chardonnay never fails to deliver such supple easy going drinkability. With a decent weight if ripe fig, melon and gentle citrus, the bright acid underpins a gentle buttery creaminess.

    £20.50
  • 2024 LEA & SANDEMAN White Burgundy

This is a particularly successful vintage. 'Fruit et finesse' is a good description of it, and it has that expressive Mâconnais sunny ripeness, a classy roundness on the palate, and just enough of a line of mineral 'straightness' to make it a convincing representation of 'white Burgundy' as a whole.
    £24.00
  • 2023 Mâcon Vinzelles Cave des Grands Crus Blancs

Nice clean lines with a present mineral underbelly is neatly balanced by well-weighted fruit. Pear and firm peach are kept nicely lifted by enough acidity to keep this very drinkable. Impressive weight and intent for a White Burgundy at this price-level.
    £24.50
  • 2023 Crocodile's Lair Chardonnay Bouchard Finlayson

'A complex, elegant and cedary chardonnay that has attractive aromas of flint, lemon peel, cedar, white apricots and macadamia nuts. It’s medium- to full-bodied with a creamy texture and plenty of freshness in a long finish.' 93 points, James Suckling
    £25.50
  • 2023 GAVI Etichetta Oro Tenuta la Marchesa

The estate's top cuvée or Gold Label (Oro) is classic Gavi from their very old vineyards. The big difference here is that the wine spends six months on the lees adding extra weight, a hint of smoky spice, some crisp apricot fruit and more texture, but this is delicately done and just adds to the whole.
    £25.95
  • 2022 ACÚSTIC BLANC Acústic Celler

Albert's Acustic blanc is always a textural masterpiece, with its quince, pear and honey notes, it has quite a rich textural feel in the mouth, but is always balanced with a delicious ripe acidity. 30% is fermented in new French oak barrels at low temperature and 70% in stainless steel for 4 weeks at very low temperature to preserve the fresh clean fruit notes. 93% Garnatxa Blanca which gives it structure and character, structure and an ability to age, 5% Macabeu which gives it finesse and fruitiness, 1% Pansal which gives structure and ageing ability and 1% Garnatxa Roja (Garnatxa Gris) which gives it exotic aromas and freshness.
    £27.00
  • 2023 Petit Chablis Les Deux Terres Domaine Agnès, Didier & Florent Dauvissat

    £28.00
  • 2022 Chardonnay Santa Barbara County Land of Saints

This wine is definitley imbued with some Californian sunshine, as you have the classic aromas of ripe peach, melon and vanilla cream, but in the mouth it has such freshness and purity, with a creamy toffee apple note, backed by ripe citrus and saturated stone fruits. Medium weight and wonderfully judged, it's like a Maconnais wine with an American accent.
    £33.00
  • 2023 Chablis Domaine Moreau-Naudet

A lovely fresh drive of firmish fruit races across the palate with a gentle scrape of fine grained tannins and mineral freshness. Great pert lines of freshly squeezed lime juice add energy and intensity. Smart stuff - at once easy and exhilarating.
    £41.00
  • 2023 Sancerre Chavignol Domaine Vincent Delaporte

As ever this is beautifully fresh, a lovely citrus tang and salty zip at the outset but it is the weight of perky fruit that fills out the middle and drives this on, making it so much more impressive than almost anyone else achieves in the appellation. The Delaporte vines are all in Chavignol - the undisputed top spot for Sancerre. With rolling hills more reminiscent of the Cote d'Or than the ubiquitous plains of the Loire valley it is no surprise that the quality is so much higher here.
    £42.95
  • 2021 Bourgogne Côte D'or Blanc Vieilles Vignes Domaine Rémi Jobard

Rich and ripe, giving fine volume and even a touch of sweetness to the fruit, all lifted by citrussy acidity. Very much a baby Meursault.

  • 2023 La Petite Syrah Domaine les Yeuses

This is another little gem from Domaine Les Yeuses. At this brilliant level it is hard to find such a good and identifiable Syrah. This is good - there is nice lift and spice. The fruit is dark, with blackberry and damson notes, Yet not overly cooked nor too sweet - and there is just enough savour to let you know this has a serious side too. At this level this is seriously impressive and remarkably refined. Well judged and fun to drink.
    £15.50

  • 2022 Bourgogne Rouge 'les Deux Terres' Thibault Liger-Belair Successeurs

Thibault Liger-Belair has produced a superb cuvée from the “Bourgogne Gamay” appellation, where the finesse of Pinot Noir harmoniously blends with the indulgence of Gamay. This blend, aptly named “Les Deux Terres,”(The two lands) reflects the meeting of Beaujolais and Burgundy, with Gamay making up at least 85% of the wine. This grape variety, known for its liveliness, reveals a unique expression in this context—more complex and structured while retaining its characteristic freshness.
    £33.95

Loaded with finesse, sleek lines and beautifully spiced fruit - this is an absolute winner as the nights draw in. Perfect with roast pork - cheese or any grilled meat or hearty vegetable dishes.
    £43.50
  • 2018 the Hermit Syrah Yarra Valley Jayden Ong

Great Syrah nose. 'Rhoney' for sure as it jumps out of the glass. A gorgeous fine line of saline savour. Palate is more supple and open. Well-ripened small black berries. Nice lift and flow. Touch of spicy grip on the finish. Gives great pleasure like a super sophisticated, serious Syrah, but with a welcome, faint line of 'blackcurrant pastilles' running through the core. Totally charming and very hard to resist.
    £57.50

    £62.00
  • 2019 Brunello Di Montalcino Collemattoni

It’s a wine with a really fun, pronounced Italian herbal quality – perhaps testament to their ability to keep the phenolic ripeness even in the wine. The rest, as you’d expect, is succulent fruit. Black cherry and plum, bought together by a lovely cedar wood. The tannins are initially pronounced and dry, hinting about both the age worthiness and the warmth of the season.
