About Bunny Chow - Queenstown Road
Handmade bunnies, Homemade curries! The bunny chow dates back to the depression era in South Africa and was a poor-man’s dish, of a hollowed-out loaf of bread, filled with delicious curry, rich in sauce. Created by the team who brought you Joy of Bao, we hope to share some traditional family recipes and bring a unique piece of Durban, to the UK.
Bunny Chows
A Bunny Chow is a wonderful dish, consisting of a hollowed-out loaf of bread, filled with delicious curry rich in sauce. We make all our bunnies in-house. The idea is that the bread serves as a vessel for the curry, as well as the means of eating it!
