Liefmanns, Kriek Brut (330ml Bottle) ABV 4.9%
Made using a completely different method from Kriek Lambic, it is a combination of aged brown beer, which is mixed with fresh, whole cherries and, after 12 months, is blended with oud bruin and goudenband of different ages. The result is a well-balanced, sweet and sour Kriek of great complexity.
White Hag Brewing, Irish Heather Sour Ale (330ml Bottle) ABV 7.5%
A resurrection of an ancient beer style brewed in Ireland from the Neolithic era; up until the 1700’s. This gruit ale utilizes Irish heather tops in place of hops to balance the sweet, rich malts used. Since these ancient brewers would not have known what yeast was, fermentation was carried out by wild yeasts and bacteria creating a naturally tart ale. Festival special we decided to age this beautiful gruit in a classic French red wine barrel for extra depth of flavour.
Lindemans, Oude Kriek Cuvée René (750ml Bottle) ABV 6.5%
Made by adding fresh cherries to half-young lambic, after which the lambic continues to ferment for 8-12 more months in oak barrels. it is a dark red kriek beer with a pink head. it has a rich and fruity aroma, a very sour and refreshing cherry taste.
Redchurch, Urban Farmhouse (750ml Bottle) ABV 4.1%
A mixed fermentation farmhouse ale. Trappist yeast gives fruitiness, lacto fermentation gives acidity and Brett (brettanomyces yeast) adds a touch of farmyard funk. A complex session ale.
Burning Sky, Anniversaire (750ml Bottle) ABV 6.2%
Lightly spiced in the boil, this special edition beer was fermented and aged entirely in French chardonnay barriques (the barrels traditionally used in Bordeaux) using their house saison and a blend of wild yeast strains.
Duvel Mortgaat, La Chouffe (750ml Bottle) ABV 8.0%
Unfiltered blonde beer, which is re-fermented in the bottle. It is pleasantly fruity, spiced with coriander, and with a light hop taste.
Estrella Damm Inedit (750ml Bottle) ABV 4.8%
Aromatised with coriander, orange peel and liquorice. Inedit means "never been done before". In cooperation with the brew master of Estrella Damm, inedit was crafted by the globally acclaimed chef Ferran Andria, Juli Soler and sommeliers Ferran Centelles and David Seijas from ElBulli restaurant. A skilfully brewed blend of lager and wheat beer styles, Inedit uses a combination of barley malt, wheat, hops, coriander, orange peel, yeast and water.
