    This is the Zisola Nero d’Avola’s big brother from the Zisola estate in Sicily. It is a richer, rounder wine with a lot more depth having had 16 months in French oak. The nose shows blackberry, damson, plum, cherry, cedar, tar, tobacco and thyme. The palate is big, jucy and round, the tannin structure is evident but integrated. Overall this a balanced wine that goes well with beef stew and pork cheek pasta.
