KOSHARI

Koshari is an energy fuelled, protein rich mix of simmered lentils, maccheroni, chickpeas and rice, topped with rich tomato sauce, a local hot sauce called shatta, a garlicky, vinegar-based dressing called da’ah and crispy onions.

T’AMEYA (Egyptian Falafel) Vegan

In Egypt we also refer to T’ameya as Falafel, it’s similar to Falafel but of ancient origin and means ‘delicious’. Made with blended Fava beans instead of chickpeas, which contain around 26% more protein, blended with fresh herbs and ground spices.

Meandering through the streets of Cairo this savoury sustenance cannot be missed. Its considered the Egyptian burger as its minced lamb with a mix of herbs and spices full of flavor in homemade bread.
