£30.00Clos Signadore's A Mandria white is made from a 1 hectare plot of Vermentino vines. The grapes are fermented with native yeasts and aged on lees in tank. A small amount of sulphur is added before bottling, but otherwise nothing is added. Dense flavours and rich texture sit alongside refreshing zestiness giving a beautiful balance.

£24.50The red wines of the Patrimonio DOC are made from the Nielluccio grape, which is closely related to Sangiovese. From vines between of between 8 and 50 years of age, this is an unoaked red with phenomenal complexity and density of flavour that comes from great care in the winery. Farmed organically, fermented with native yeasts and with no additions other than a small amount of sulphur at bottling.
£42.00Purple-black in colour with an intense perfume of plum, blackberry and dark cherry balanced by savoury oak and earthiness. Fine tannins add structure to a complex palate of black fruit, oak and dark chocolate. Drinking well now but will cellar for at least ten years.

£70.00This Cabernet Sauvignon comes from Emiliana's organic vineyards in the Maipo Valley. Flavours of dark plums and liquorice mingle with cedar and eucalyptus notes. There's a little vanilla too from the 13 months in French oak barrels. Expect firm but fine tannins. Drink alongside pork ribs, other grilled red meats or lamb shank.
£22.00We are really pleased with our new "house malbec" from Pablo Y Walter. It's brimful of fresh blackberry, cassis and red fruit and with just 10% of it given some oak ageing to add a bit more interest. The fruit comes from Lujan de Cuyo and has that super -refreshing juiciness that high altitude vineyards bring. Eminently gluggable!

£45.00The mothballed Benromach distillery was acquired by independent whisky-bottlers Gordon and MacPhail in 1993 who set about restoring it to modern working order. Officially reopened by Prince Charles in 1998, bottling of the new malt began in 2004. The aim has been to produce a pre-industrial-scale style that reflects the character of a Speyside malt from before the 1960s. Maturation is in 80% Bourbon barrels and 20% Sherry hogsheads, with the final year in first-fill Oloroso casks.

Made from 100% Pinot Noir and based on the 2010 and 2011 vintages, only 100,000 bottles are produced every year. This is a full bodied, but beautifully well balanced wine that shows ripe citrus and hints of tropical fruit on the nose, and a refreshing palate with a creamy and moreish texture. This is an excellent aperitif, but will match very well with scallops or Asian inspired fish dishes.
