Any one that has travelled to Rajasthan would know about this curry. I happen to visit Jaipur and Udaipur and tried this dish in both the cities. The original recipe was served in the first class cars of the Indian railways and stems back to the British Raj of the 1900s. The story goes that a British officer ordered a curry, found it to be too spicy and asked for the curry to be milder.
