This bar features delicate floral cacao from Southern India’s Anamalai Hills – a plantation on the edge of the jungle frequented daily by elephants and tigers (Anamalai is the Tamil word for elephant). On the palate it strikes with a cacophony of fruit: bursting with raspberry, apricot, guava and passionfruit – complemented by a silky smooth toasted peanut finish. This bar celebrates the rare and delicate Porcelana Blanca cacao from the Finca La Rioja estate in Cacahoatán, Mexico – which means “Place of Cacao”. Named after its distinctive light (porcelain) colour, it features noble genetics of ancient Criollos and the “Carmelo” Criollo. These pure white beans have been considered the ‘holy grail’ of cacaos since Mayan times. This bar reveals a hidden treasure and one of nature’s rarest: the wild grown Boliviano (aka Beniano) cacao. A genetically pure cacao varietal – that few have heard of – it grows wild in only the Beni region’s remote Amazon forests and its harvested by the indigenous Cambas people. These certified heirloom beans are unusually small, but packed with intense flavours. Bean To Cup
Our luxury drinking chocolate is made from bean to beverage in small batches in our factory, with just two special ingredients: cacao beans and organic cane sugar. We make our chocolate from scratch and we age it for over a month before flaking.
Premium Hot Chocolate Flakes - Tanzania
Bring to boil 150-250ml of any type of milk, slowly stir in 30g chocolate, until all the chocolate has melted into the milk to form a silky hot chocolate. We enjoy our hot chocolate like the Italians – short, thick and extremely rich (125ml of milk – 35g chocolate).
