About Ottolenghi - Hampstead

Easter Specials

Colomba classica
The traditional dove-shaped Easter bread from Italy. Rich, buttery, studded with candied orange peel and topped with crunchy almonds and sugar glaze. It's made the slow way with natural yeast – similar to panettone but lighter, more springlike. Lovely torn apart and shared at breakfast, or as the centrepiece of an Easter spread.

Sour cherry and custard Colomba
We've taken the traditional Colomba and filled it with tart sour cherries and pockets of custard. Still that same dove shape, still rich and yeasted, but with more contrast – the cherries cut through the sweetness, the custard makes it even softer. It feels familiar but not predictable. The kind of Easter bread that gets people asking questions. make it a bit smaller.

Sour cherry amaretti
Crisp at the edges, chewy at the center, with a hit of almond and some sharp, jammy cherry. It’s very hard to stop at one. Lovely with tea, better with dessert wine.

Crisp on the outside, chewy in the middle—just as a good meringue should be. A splash of rose water keeps the sweetness in check, with a few petals and pistachios dusted on top, while caramelised white chocolate adds a rich, toasty edge.
