The Health Connoisseur - Clay Oven Grilled 👨🏽🍳
Tandoori takes its name from the 'Tandoor'. A large charcoal heated clay oven in which meat and fish are traditionally cooked in the southern regions of Asia. These dishes are marinated for hours in yogurt, ginger, garlic, lime and a mixture of spices.

This dish was introduced by the Chagatai people of Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. Residents of these temperate regions prefer red meat, especially Lamb. They learnt to prepare a special dish using red meat with rice and various ingredients, such as butter, pepper, salt, cardamom, local spices & nutmeg. We marinate lamb overnight in a fragrantly spiced sauce. This is then cooked and layered in a cooking pot in the order of rice, lamb and sauce, rice, lamb and sauce again.
