About La Goccia - Petersham Nurseries
La Goccia offers Petersham Nurseries’ interpretation of Italian aperitifs and small plates, known in Italy as cicchetti. Menus are created using ingredients from the family farm in Devon, focusing on Italian-inspired, seasonal dishes with a produce and provenance-led cooking style. Petersham Nurseries is fundamentally connected to nature. It is at the very essence of the business, from its horticultural roots to the seasonality of its food.

This wine is a blend of three grapes, Freisa, Barbera and Grignolino. The nose is full of bright violets, red cherries and a slight tone of dried orange peel. This is the Zisola Nero d’Avola’s big brother from the Zisola estate in Sicily. It is a richer, rounder wine with a lot more depth having had 16 months in French oak. The nose shows blackberry, damson, plum, cherry, cedar, tar, tobacco and thyme. The palate is big, jucy and round, the tannin structure is evident but integrated. This is the premium red wine from the Mazzei, Zisola Estate and is made with 100% Petit Verdot.
